I can't believe it's December, we have had a lot of snow come down so far this weekend. I guess thats what we get for no snow in November. I started christmas shopping really late this year and i can say i really don't like it! I prefer to be done by December 1st. The basement is coming along well we are done painting and have just a few touch ups to do. I just love the colors my sister has pick out for us its purple and a gray Our carpet is getting made this weekend and would think it should be shipped by next week some time. Dinner out tomorrow with Duff's boss and Duff's 33rd birthday is on Tuesday. I have to make 10 dozen cookies for a cookie exchange at a friends house on the 18th. My holidays can't come sooner ...... a nice 2 week break. Ryley is busy making christmas decorations for everyone they are going to be so cute he has done such a nice job on them, he even wants to make one for gramma Lyn's cat!

Cabin Fever

Oh the cabin! What a great weekend that was. We headed up to Golden BC for a suprise 30th birthday for a friend of ours, and she was surprised! I was quite the drive on the way out as we encountered a few different weather changes (no suprise considering where we live). As we were following a rig on the high way he lost control and jack knifed a bit he almost went in to the ditch which made us step on the brake with out realizing how much ice there was. That got my heart racing as i hate to drive in the mountains as it is. Finding the place was really hard, being in the mountains at night it took us 30 min longer than it should of and with no cell service it makes it a bit more challenging........ Ahhh but we made it! We went in to town on the Saturday to check things out, its a pretty Small town so not much to see but we got some shopping in. I'm thinking this could be a good be a good spot for new years this year or next if the spots free for the taking.

What a busy week! I cant wait for a quite weekend retreat in BC. I'm hoping that Ryley stays healthy i think we have done a good job keeping him away from those who have had the flu. His cousin just started getting sick yesterday so we will hope for the best. Well this is the cake i think i turned out just fine. When i took it out of the cake pan i had some issues and the cake carrier i got was a little too small for the edges. In the end it was good Ryley was happy and loved it a lot so thats all that matters to me.

Busy Busy

Omg I can't believe its already November! Ryley's birthday party went well, i will post pictures of his cake soon. Really busy around here lately my day home lady is gone to England to see her mom and so we have Duffs mom here to help us out till she back. What a life safer she is! We are off to Golden BC this weekend for some relaxation and a friends 30th birthday, she should be surprised. Ill update when I'm back!

Just an update!

I'm so confused if we should get the N1H1 flu shot! It is such a hard choice to make I'm split for sure 50/50 on this topic. Well i have a busy few days a head of me. Tomorrow is Ryley's 4Th birthday! Yeah happy birthday my little man! Costume party at school on Friday/swimming lessons, sat is Halloween and his party on Sunday! I can always rest at work right? BTW the Halloween party last weekend was a blast we had such a great time and soooo many laughs. I think we Did a good job on the costumes Duff bought his and we pieced mine together. It really never saves to make your own some times. Next years party is blood and gore so we will have to start thinking about what we want to do. Hum mm I've never done blood and gore for Halloween this could be fun. Still feeling a little sick ... i was sad to miss mt stampers 10 group at the Nest & Company, this is my sister's shop where a group of 10 girls get together and create cards and such things you can see her blog at tamstampin.bogspot.com. I do hope some one made my cards for me! :)

Not feeling to hot

Well i hope im not getting what Donovan has, i won't be very happy about that! We have a Halloween party to go to tomorrow night, we are going as Popeye and Olive oil. I can't wait to see all the other costumes. Swimming lessons to go to tonight and then home for a movie. Got all the supplies for Ryley's Lightning McQueen birthday party...i hope the cake works out for me. Ryley and i did all the loot bags for the 20 kids that will be there!!!( I know thats crazy) Next year i swear its just friends. :)

So my first blog.... hope not to disappoint! Well today was uneventful but i did manage to get to my sisters shop (thanks for the kick in the ass) lol. I got to watch her and Robin create there wonderful Advant calenders for there up coming classes (cant wait to take it!)
Home for dinner and to take care of my man who is sick.
Reno's on the basement are in slow movement and i can't wait until its complete and i can redecorate down there! Did i mention how excited i am to have the best laundry room ever! I know i know pictures right, well since my whole basement is in my son's play room and my computer is on my kitchen table....i cant locate my cord to upload pictures. So my friends you will have to stay tuned!
